About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who enjoys working with individuals and couples, specializing in helping people navigate through life transitions and chronic problems, The years of early adulthood, becoming a couple, parenting or not being able or wanting to, raising kids and teens, menopause, aging and "just not feeling well" are the themes of my work. I maintain a private practice in Petaluma, California.

In addition to my private practice I have enjoyed working as a counselor with at risk teens at both the High School and Junior High level. Being on site working with the students and parents, teachers, and administrators taught me ways of relating without judgement or preconceived ideas and allowed me to enter the world of families with a new respect for what it means to be struggling in the world. I bring this new way of seeing with me as my work continues.

Before going into private practice I was trained at Hospice of Petaluma and Memorial Hospice as a bereavement counselor . Here I had the honor of helping people find ways to get through their most difficult times of grief and loss. My experiences at Hospice included working with children, teens, adults, couples and families individually and in groups. During my time at Hospice I came to understand the power of listening and what it means to hold a compassionate place for those in pain. My training and bereavement work are invaluable to me as a therapist and inform my work everyday.

My therapeutic approach is first to listen, and then provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your own needs. I welcome you and look forward to helping you find your strengths and attain the personal growth you are looking for.
